I stared blankly and suggested a break on the price (which wasnt the best anyway) since its preamp wasnt working. He kept playing. I left.
Charley's!! Now that is a name I recognize from my many readings on a certain someone with the initials SRV. He built the white Strat with the lipstick tube pickups in it for Stevie (or at least put it together for him), the one with the pic of the half naked lady painted on the back. It also had the Charley's logo engraved on the neck plate. That may even be where Stevie got his #1, I can't remember now. I'm glad to hear they are still around.martyred wrote: Anyways, Ive generally have much better luck at pop shops, at the expense of a few dollars. Theres a really good one here called Charleys, has all sorts of in-production tube amps with a few vintage, and a good deal of high quality guitars
The "half naked lady painted" guitar was the one he used to record "Couldn't Stand The Weather" if my memory serves me right.Zoso wrote:Charley's!!
