Lucky for me "my" space is the basement!! 1200 sqft for my toys!Flames1950 wrote:I don't even have enough space left in the Man Cave to do a family spread like that. I'd lay everything out and couldn't get the camera back far enough to take the shot.![]()
Next house needs a bigger basement. And a bigger garage. Or a bigger garage with a nice room above like Chief's.........
That is my JTM45 Metro amp with a great looking block logo from Chris Stokes! The Weber Mass 150 works great for me, I also have a Hotplate... both do the job adequately!! too many Heine's last night.. my head hurtsfillmore nyc wrote:Very nice family portrait, my friend!! What amp is that with the gold square logo, third from the left?? Looks like an old Marshall, but hard to tell from the pics.

Elderly's website makes me all giddy. Always has. . . Probably a good thing they are 2000 miles away. Definitely on the list of places to visit, though, and stories like yours are very cool to hear. You do need a good Strat, George. Business expense, right?VelvetGeorge wrote:Man, I wish all of you guys could have been there today.
I agree with you on the CS-strats: IVelvetGeorge wrote:Man, I wish all of you guys could have been there today. Frog (the infamous vintage guitar guru from Elderly) blew me away. I asked about Strats, we chatted for a few minutes then he said "hold on". A few minutes later he comes out of the vault with a completely original '63 Strat!!!!!!!!
The price tag was a meager $22,000!
I had the unbelievable fortune of comparing half a dozen new Fenders to the real deal. Many were nice I'll admit, but none captured everything the original has. I played the Eric Johnson (great PU's), the John Mayer, the Jimmy Vaughn, relics, custom shop 50's, 60's you name it.
Finally, he brought out a Nash 60's. Whoa! That guitar felt like an old friend. It had 90% of what I experienced playing the real '63. The price on it was $1650 (which I don't have so I left empty handed). But I'll be watching Ebay.
I thought the Nash had just as much vibe as the relic Fenders going for $2500-3500. Cool Strats! And I'm a hopeless Les Paul guy. LOL
