i think that's an idiotic stereotype. i know girls who could (and have!) drive circles around most guys I know, and my brother is the slowest driver I've ever seen in my life.

females are taught to be docile, and it affects every aspect of their demeanor, driving included.

plus, there are just as many videos on the internet of shitty male drivers as there are female. there is probably a good reason that insurance companies make males between the ages of 18 and 25 pay the highest premiums...

hopefully not. and that's not what i was getting at. i'm certainly not a hyper sensitive PC addict, but i think that saying women are bad drivers simply because they're women is plain stupid. not because it's insensitive, but because it's obviously not true. crap drivers are crap drivers regardless of their sex.

for instance, my brother does all sorts of martial arts. he probably knows about 5 ways to kill a person with a chair...

but he drives slower than most of the old ladies i've met!

all i'm saying is that it's all in good fun to post videos of girls driving poorly. go right ahead. but to say that the girls are bad drivers ONLY because they're girls, is stupid, and does not represent reality. You're only a bad driver if you're a bad driver.

i guess my post made it seem as though i was somehow offended by the video. i wasn't, actually, i thought it was hilarious, but i saw one poster saying that women were bad drivers simply because they're women and decided to respond to him. i wasn't offended by his comments either, everyone has an opinion, and i've never been one to try to change minds over the interweb. especially on a public forum. but if i see an opinion that's clearly not based on reality (excluding religious discussions... i stay clear of those ) i attempt to offer another point of view. i think in this case i came off as something of a feminist...

Yeees, we know what you think, but everyone thinks inside that bad drivers aren't bad drivers just because they're girls. they think that, but they don't say this like you, because .... well because, it's admited let's say, traditional unfair fun of the girls, with as a base, the unfair false idea that they're bad drivers because they're girls. but we like to maintain this false truths, because you know like me that it's allways so funny to see the reaction of the girls, saying " oooh nooo, it's not true ! girls aren't like this or like that ..." but we knooooow this, it's just to provoc them for fun . ( or, it wouldn't be fun : it's a veeeery old provocation, between guys and girls, just for fun, don't take it seriously , and don't worry we know what you think. )
