Ronald Reagan, Ray Charles....
Anyone care to ponder who might be the third?
It would seem to be someone who's name begins with an "r".

If you're right I wonder who will be third: Rumsfeld? I sincerely hope so! As a firm believer that Republicans are at the bottom of the food chain I must say that as much as I mourn Ray Charles' passing I'm not at all sad to see Reagan go.

Tony Randall is the 3rd. That's all who will pass this month.

Shane, you're right. I forgot about TR.
Mike, how do you feel about the EU getting upset over your country posting the results of the latest voting?

George,
I was gigging last night so I completely missed the voting results and what the EU had to say about it. Let me know what the reaction was and I'll tell you how I feel about that.

The third was Quorthon of Bathory fame. AKA The "Godfather" of Blackmetal. Died on 6/7/2004 in his apartment apparently of heart failure.

Wow, it does happen in threes (a little slow)
RIP Rick James.
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Flamboyant funk music pioneer Rick James, a dynamic performer whose sensuous 1981 dance hit "Super Freak" came to embody the ruinous excesses of his colorful life, died in his sleep on Friday of natural causes. He was 56.
James died at 9:20 a.m. in his home near Hollywood, a record label spokeswoman said.
The self-proclaimed "icon of drug use and eroticism," James paid the price for his longtime addiction to crack-cocaine in the early 1990s when he served three years in prison for assault and false imprisonment.

I just saw the Rick James memorandum thing in the paper this morning. That is some crazy stuff. He was only like 56 too. Must have been all those hardcore drugs...

Did you see the bit on the Chappelle show with him awhile ago?

I was watching Vh-1's behind the music on Rick James today (RIP), and I cannot believe what a hard-core drug life he lead, wow.
From draft dodging, to being up for weeks, to OD'ing three times, to spending time in Folsum Prison, then cleaning up... jeez
And who would have remembered that Rick James and Neil Young started together in the same band, what a weird combo.

I just watched it on TiVo again, its hillarious. Its also uncanny how much chappelle looks like old Rick James. Infact so good, he's going to play James on an upcoming biography.
"Charlie! There's a new joke goin around; what did the five fingers say to the face? "
"SLAP!!!"
