Which values have you found so far? Don't know if the 220k are especially scarce. There was a similar pack of 270ks which just sold as well, for much much less.

Not worth it in my opinion. Seems to be the same guy's bidding on it. Smells like shill bidding to me.

wonder how guys rich enough to pay 200 bucks on 5 resistors , would be stupid enough to bid such amounts 15h before the ends of the game ( and the 169 $ bid was 3-4 DAYS before the end of the game ! ) ...... it just doesn't make sense ...starting bid was at ten bucks ....it's like using all your juice in the first ten minutes of a triathlon ... plain stupid .... guys able to make the money they seem to have don't have these kind of shitty strategies ...or they have so much money they don't give a damn throwing it out of the window ? doubt it.... shill bidding as brian sayed and then hoping finger crossed for a desperate amp builder seeking the elusive build perfection at all costs to overbid it ? .... i tend to agree brian ...

they probably don't have any straegy at all, they just bid when they feel like it. Some 40 something gear junkie (like myself) isbn't going to give a rat's ass about a couple hundred if it completes his vintage restoration/kit etc...

I' spent probably over $100 bucks on packaged nte resistors at the local elec store playing around with my channel switcher.

ahem ......madness goes on .....errr couldn't we just send a batch of odd values pihers we have in numbers and are useless to a serious factory to analyse them deeply and then duplicate with the same color specs and all ? :?: i guess there are factories able to put on the market good resistors for less than 40 bucks a piece right  ?
actually with the repro mustards , repro pinstripe , repro cabs , i'm actually surprised pihers repros didn't pop up already .....

these look fishy to me ...more like beyschlags i'd say , too long to be real pihers ( i may be wrong cuz there are variations of the red color among the piher 0.5 w but i never saw lenght variations )...

Pihers varied not only in colour, but shape over the years. I'll agree those 5 on the right have that more defined Beyschlag shape to them though. The "step-in" of the end-caps sure is sharp.
Not sure whether RS ever sold Beyschlags in their standard range though, but there's no proof that these came from RS either.

Certainly is an awful lot of money for what is most likely used resistors.
So I like purple, okay!!!!!!
