Check it out guys....

All the lead guitar was recorded with metro 50 watt kit that I built myself. If you're curious as to what one of these things sound like...you're probably not going to find better recorded examples. Check it!

Very nice. Not just the typical thrashing mess. Good job!

Thanks very much. I wish I had a bit more time to dig into the solos, but it was a great experience, and the amp really sounded great! Steve has a bunch of really cool vintage amps, Hiwatts and a nice 100 watt SLP but when I showed him the metro he got kind of a twinkle in his eye, (they have a big DIY spirit at Electrical, which is why we went up there) and when he mic'd it up and we soundchecked, he said "That sounds good, I think you should go with that one." We tried a few different amps throughout the session, a Garnet, and this cool hotrodded bassman/boogie style amp one of the interns rigged up...but except for one solo on a tiny terror, we just stayed with the Metro. I think it's a great testament to the quality of George's product.
