To those of you in the US. Have some turkey, watch some football.
See some family. Have a great holiday.

Now me, I'm working today, making that holiday pay, so I can (hopefully) afford to get one of those Plexi re-issues off of eBay next week. Tomorrow I'm grilling steaks, boilin' up some beans and toastin' up some french bread for my own little Southwestern-style Thanksgiving (in Florida).
Happy Thanksgiving, everybody.
(For you folks from other countries besides the U.S., Thanksgiving celebrates an occaision a few hundred years ago when a bunch of colonists over here were nearly starved out and the Indians came by and helped them out. No good deed goes unpunished, I guess... Anyway, we Americans--and by that I mean citizens of the United States of America--like to use celebrating that incident as an excuse to stuff ourselves until gorged on turkey, turkey stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, yams, gravy, pumpkin pie, ice cream, just about anything you can think of. We almost need regurgitoria, like the Romans. After eating until we're just about ready to burst, the menfolk usually plop themselves down in front of the household television set and drink what we like to call "beer" over here, while watching college athletic teams do battle with each other in what we like to call "football" over here. What the womenfolk do during that apres-dine time, I wouldn't know, being one of the menfolk, myself. Wish you all could join us.)
