A study of more than 36,000 people from around the world concluded that musical tastes and personality type were closely related.
The research, which was carried out by Professor Adrian North of Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh in the UK suggested classical music fans were shy, while heavy metal fans were gentle and at ease with themselves.
Fans of Indie music had low self-esteem and were not hard working, fans of Rap music had high self-esteem and were outgoing. Country & Western fans were hardworking and outgoing, Reggae fans were creative but not hardworking, and fans of chart pop had high self-esteem, were not creative, but where hardworking and outgoing.

And where's the rock fan?
'fans of rock music seem to be shy but are in reality disinterested in such a situation. They're hardworking and sometimes harddrinking and when they're harddrinking, they've high self esteem and creativity'

Re: Which one are you?
so liking pretty much all styles mean beeing shy but not shy , hardworking but still a lazy , etc ? quite schizophrenic
... don't researchers have more serious work to do than trying to assess some kind of retarded psychological clichés you can already find each month in some shitty women's magazines' questionnaries in the last page when there's nothing else to read left in the doctor's waiting room ? i mean
at least a bit .....
this whole " choose a box and put yourself in " kind of fashion sometimes get on my nerves ,i mean we live in boxes already ( no harm intended to the first poster ,i must make it clear , just with the researcher eventually ).... i think it's time for me to watch ezy rider again , just for the sake of purifying all this dogmatic dirt interference with my inner myself
now i don't know if the researcher has statistics on ezy riders fans of beeing notorious homeless or some shit , one thing is sure is that i'm not lol
kind of creepy
