Our EP ready for release.

Post by demonufo » Mon Oct 11, 2010 3:16 pm

Finally got our arses in gear and got this finished. (Never record a demo by doing the odd hour here and there, btw. It's takes an awful long time)
You may notice we won't be winning any tone awards :oops: , or have any great skills :wink: , but this is all for fun, no seriousness intended. All recorded for free, too, which was a bonus. But I have to say, next time I'd rather just pay for a studio for the weekend. I think this all sounds too rushed for my liking, but it's what we've gotta live with.

Now I'd best book some gigs and see if Oxford is ready for our anti-Oxford band stance. (There are no rock-y bands around here, everybody's so goddamn boringly "artistic" :roll:and most have silver spoons falling out of their mouths)
Soundfiles for the new EP are here (in no particular order as yet); (Fixed for smaller files :wink: )

And this is us;

Only track we have up on here is currently the one that got left off the EP. Oh dear, it looks like we have almost no friends either. C'mon guys, help rectify the situation pleeze. I'll never be able to badger the promoters around here for decent gigs with only 99 myspace friends. :wink:
Us on facebook;

And me;

Just in case anybody was wondering, the lead vocalist is on basic Rhythm parts, using a Musicman EVH, and a VHT 100watter of some description (He usually uses a JCM900 dual reverb, so this was a relief :lol: ) through a Orange 2X12 loaded with vintage 30's. All other guitars are me, using a thin bodied LP Jr type, loaded with Pearly Gates, through my 2204 build and a detuned 4X12 with 2 G12M-65's loaded. Not that any of this comes through particularly well on that recording, but hell, it was free! :) Oh yeah, that's me on the girly high backing vocals. :oops:

Feel free to dissect, criticise, etc, 'cause we certainly can't be arsed to analyse! :lol:
So I like purple, okay!!!!!!

83.7% of all statistics are made up on the spot!

i like the tone just fine! i have a 4x12 with G12-65's, they aren't perfect but they sound pretty good with early marshalls.

the songs ain't half bad either! :dlr:
