I recently took the plunge and got satellite radio and have been loving this classic hard rock channel called Boneyard.
They play a lot of the stuff I listened to in the late 70's early 80's. Like Zep, Maiden, Sabbath, Deep Purple, Dokken, DIo,Ratt, and when they do play VH it's not Jump. It will be something like Hang Em High or other B side classic stuff you would normally didn't hear like Somebody Get me a Doctor. They'll even play Def Lepard... But instead of Pour Some Sugar on Me, it would be Rock Brigade or something else from before their sex change operation.

Don't get me wrong. I understand why they went chic-i-fied. Increased sales, and they would probably rather have more women in the audience than a bunch of dudes.

They play a lot of Judas Priest, and wow I forgot how many great songs they have. I was driving the road and on came Jack the Ripper. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7f7uyO3 ... h_response

Holy Crap I love this station!!

Thanks Mike...you just made me really depressed =(

I miss my Sirius. Had to turn mine off when I went back to school full time. And to top in off, the only remaining rock station here in Melbourne just turned to an all talk format last week :palm: The only other option is a station in Orlando, but it plays way too much nuMetal and other garbage mixed in with the classic hard rock tunes.

But yeah - Boneyard plays the "good stuff" not the typical airplay crap on most FM stations. I'll be reactivating my subscription as soon as I graduate and cash my first RN paycheck! Maybe by that time Artie will be back on Stern
