A friend turned me on to Pabst Blue Ribbon. I remember them in the 70s, but in the 80s and on it was all about Budweiser and Coors.
But PBR is good stuff!

Interested what your tavern will say. I don't think that they would do that but, at the nations current state people tend to cut corners... so yea we'd like to hear AB's response to your inquiry...
I drank 4 canned Busch last week and it ripped me up for a coupla' days... Reminded me of the
special beer (and other products) that we had on Overseas base with a nice little presevative called formaldehyde. Yup the same shit they put in ya at the morgue. (resupply shipments every 5-6 months) Talk about preserving my "living" liver

Ooooooh the hangovers !

I couldn't take it anymore with 3-4 beers rippin' me up so we used to put in orders and give it to the Navy's C-B's to fly us back real stuff. Good move and saved my liver & whatever braincells I had left...!

I've hauled many beer loads from Columbus and Jacksonville amoung others (I think Virginia too if I remember right), and to countless distributers of their. Of all the places I go, their breweries are some of the pickiest on the cleanliness of the trailers (especially Columbus). You literally have to have them washed out (not swept) before pick up or they will make you leave and come back. Kegs have to be refrigerated becasue they haven't been pastuerized (or whatever the process is) like the bottled beer. The bottled beer is also filtered better too. Bottom like if you want consistency and less impurity get the bottles.

+1 I don't mind keg beer but I prefer bottle by a wide margin

Sunday's a good day to muse alcoholic, since we can't buy here on Sundays.
My first ever 'beer' was Schlitz Malt Liquor Bull, and it was like a friggin' meal, back then in the late 70s. I also preferred it 'cause I saw a picture of... you guessed it... the man himself drinkin' em... if it's good enough for him, then...
Lots of beer bongs later, I cannot handle anything below micro brews. My stomach can't weather it, and my wallet sees the same diff whether I drink $15-$30 of low test or $15-$30 of mid-grade to hi-test. It's all the same, but I tend to feel better if I stick to something like, my all-time favorite Pilsner Urquell, the original pilsner from Czech. Czech Brahthers! Yes. Excuse me ladies, would you like to see our vacuum cleaners?
I usually have a hard time with keg beer of any kind, call it psychological, but I'm a wimp nowadays.
In NOLA, I took to a strict drinking diet of Tequila and fresh orange slices, or chunks or orange juice if that's all they had. That, or Jameson. All with a rare beer back, and it'd have to be something crispy and tight with a high mark. And it's not that I always had the money for it, it's just that I only did it when I had the money for it.
I know Schlitz Bull is not what it used to be, and I'd think that the Bud is definitely not what it used to be. I do think PBR is better than what it used to be, but maybe I just appreciate their target culture market more, so that one could be psychological as well.
I think these brews are supposed to taste better closer to their home brewery, and mostly in glass bottles. Definitely drink bottles. Drink better beer less Sentience! Play that for a little while and see how you go. Slow down and sip a better beer man. Your guts may come back to thank you. What do you do with all the extra time you gain not drinking twice as much bad beer? Enjoy yourself!

My favorite beer this one that has a black Lab on the label. I call it the doggie beer. But it's hard to find, so then I started drinking Blue Moon which is close in taste. Lately I've gone cheap and just get Bud Light Long Neck Botttles. Good enough.

I like the PBR, it's good, underrated stuff though it's getting kind of trendy. You can do a lot worse.
My current favorite American beer in Yeungling.
Also, I live near NOLA, so we have access to lots of Abita beer. That's good stuff and it's brewed with water from the artesian wells in Abita Springs.

Having spent 4 years in the U.S I didnt really like the taste of the beer but had to get use to it. The cheaper Blue ribbon was actually my favourite. Going from Canadian beer to that was tough to swallow. Literally.
In the past few years, Budwiser is actually brewed here in Canada under the countries own standards. Tastes nothing like the U.S version. It's drinkable. Not sure what carbs are used for it in the U.S, but here its real beer ingredients like barley. Canadian law apparently. Is corn used for Bud in the States?
They also are selling Blue Ribbon here as well......ah the memories?
