Anyone willing to help a complete stranger???

Post by demonufo » Thu Oct 06, 2011 4:58 pm

Hi guys,
Just fishing for a few votes basically. We've been picked to play at a Oxford Battle Of The Bands event. Another one of these quite meaningless events, but all in the name of a good charitable cause. We don't stand a hope in hell of winning since we've been put on first at 6.30PM (nobody is ever out that early in Oxford) but we may stand a slight chance of at least getting some decent votes in beforehand.

If anybody has a facebook profile and is willing to help, please visit the link below and vote Molotov Sexbomb (and don't bother listening to the track, it's godawful and was produced in our absence by students, as were all the others for that matter!)

I thanks you all in advance.

Oh yeah, and there's only 13 hours of voting time left. Guess I should have snuck this in a bit earlier, eh!

No worries. Strangely we managed to come 2nd, both in the votes and in the events. And all with minimal effort (read, almost none) required, true to form.
Didn't think we had any chance against some of the polished competition, especially since one of the (metal) bands were polished, and had a tiny 10 year lead/rhythm player. The frontman was only 12. The oldest was 14. They threw every stadium rock cliche out there, were very confident and had the audience lapping them up. Was great to watch, even if a tad boring musically.
