Yikes! He'd kinda shit in the nest around these parts, but that is still sad news. Wonder what the cause was? He certainly seemed fit and healthy...

Mark always helped me out when I had questions. He will be missed. 46 is just way too young.

RIP Mark.

Oh man, thats really bad news. 46 years old??? That IS way too young. Great guitar player, and he knew his shit with amps too, thats for sure.

RIP, Mark.

Wow, heart wrenching. :( Just got back from camping up North, and this is horrific news.
Damn, he looked like the picture of health and fitness.
RIP Mark.

He was very helpful to me, and for a time was a popular member here. 46 is too young. RIP Mark.

Saw that this morning, as well. RIP, Mark. Differences are differences, this is permanent.... :(
Think he was a heavy smoker, though.

rip rOCKSTAH.

He was always very helpful to me. Always answered PM's & steered me in the right direction any time I asked a question, no matter how dumb it ended up being. Great player. Killer builder. Awesome tones. Nice guy.

Words of wisdom, Chief. If the entire world could finally cop this stance, we'd all be in a better place for sure.

I shared some posts and some PM's with Mark. Always a classy guy, whether we agreed or disagreed. I missed him when he was booted off this forum, but as Chief said, this is permanent. Very, very sad.

Godspeed, Mark.

Think he was a heavy smoker, though.
We joined Metro about the same time in late 2005.
I watched him learn from asking lots of dumb questions (like we all did, and still do in my case) with a huge post count (12,481 which is 3.000 more than Flames1950 who was next and here almost from the beginning).
He was dedicated and driven in his music and desire for great guitar tone. Generous in his praise and helpful to all. We traded stuff (usually one way  ).
His guitar playing was excellent and the clips were a benchmark for the EVH style but his more diverse ability is evident on all the Starship recordings.
Being so driven and single minded contributed to his departure from here under a cloud.
He will be always be remembered here posthumously for the Lar-Mar PPIMV mod which he refined with Novosibir from previous work by Ken Fischer.
Very sad so young but heavy smoking is bad for you and may kill you.
More dangerous than solder fumes...............

RIP, Mark. I haven't been around here in a long while. I heard about his passing on a guitar forum. He has
been very helpful in the past to me both online and through pm's. I've seen him play live with Starship. He
came over and chatted a bit. Very nice laid back guy in person. I'm not sure what went down here with him
and at this point don't care. I agree with what "Chief" said in his post.

He will be missed.
