F*cking water!

Got back from a trip to see my son in Chicago yesterday and had :
The humidifier filter was plugged up ( minerals in the water here are awful ) and water was leaking down the side of my NEW furnace across the basement bathroom floor toward the floor drain. Changed filter , problem solved .
The wife started to do a load of laundry and the drain pipe was apparently full of lint and overflowed Under the wall ,across the floor toward the floor drain. Snaked it out and problem solved.
Went down this morning to do a little work in my man room and went to the bathroom.... the pressure relief valve on my water heater was leaking , running across the bathroom floor toward the floor drain! Hoped it was just the valve didn't seat properly after opening....... YES! Put a new valve in , relit the water heater and all is well.
Keep telling myself that it all could have happened while we were gone and we'd have come home to a hell of a mess. I guess a guy needs a day like this every once but all in one day seems a little much!
I'd say my hat's off to plumbers, never considered myself one and wouldn't want to be one. I'll try the simple stuff first and then if that don't fix it , it's time to call in the pros.
