Don't happen often this way, but All Original6 are in the playoffs. 8)
Didn't need ESPN or the Deuce to tell me that... :o
:champ:
Was way kool that Pat Foley got in da' H.o F. ! Way to go!
Real kool that Doc Emrick gave him a *high-five* over the phone on & in a live broadcast.
He certainly is, without a doubt one of the all time great color commentators in ANY sport. In my book Top-6

Bob Cole and Foster Hewitt from old CBC Canada. They wrote the book on calling hockey.

NHL Playoff's 2013!

Post by NY Chief » Thu May 02, 2013 2:15 pm

So starting with end of the 2012 thread...

Speaking of announcers...

Watched the opening Yucks - Wings game and the yucks announcers are major "duck" sucking A holes and can't all a professional objective game to save their asses. The good get a clue from real pro's like Doc E or Vin Scully. Homer announcers are so bush league.

Then last night watched NBSsports broadcast of SJ & Van and who do I have to listen to?? That overblown ego fukin retard Costas!!! He makes the yucks announcers sound somewhat intelligent!!! (JJ, where's is that pukin' emoticon????)

Leafs defenceman Dion Phaneuf got his man but missed the puck, and the Bruins won in overtime. Check out the look Leafs goalie James Reimer's wife, April, gives to actress Elisha Cuthbert, who is Phaneuf's fiancée.

Do you also watch the world cup? We played with Slovenia today. We won but it was painful to watch. Not very good team we have this year. Canada seems very strong this time. I also watched Russia vs. Finland today. Great match! I don't know what's wrong with us. Maybe drafting players from the NHL is not always a good thing...
