Thanks Chief for posting this. That picture is remarkable, a definite Time Magazine cover. I'm going to pay a visit to Ben's grave in a couple of weeks, I'll leave him some Iskras for his next build.

The little boys name is Luke and I believe Ben's brother Beau, is now stationed in Washington State to be near Ben's family. Ben's older brother Jeremy, who was also killed in Afghanistan two years earlier by a suicide bomber, is buried beside his brother in Virginia.

I didn't realize it at the time, but that suicide attack, where his Navy Seal brother Jeremy Wise was killed, is depicted in the movie Zero Dark Thirty.

The Wise family sure has given all, and raised some incredibly brave sons. A Green Beret, a Marine, and a Navy Seal. What amazing parents they must be.
Ben and Jeremy, you are not forgotten, and thank you all for your service to our country.

That attack has been likened to Perle Harbor as far as the damage that was done to our anti terror program. Those seven guys and gals at Base Chapman were among the best we had at the time. Anyway, I payed a visit to the brothers in Sept:
