Exhausting!!! Great show, incredible players. Long hours, long drive but well worth it.

I took the day off yesterday to recover and spend with my kids. Unloading everything today.

I didn't get out of my room too much, but heard about lots of great stuff. Highlights in our display were the amp switcher, original plexis vs replicas and the True Replica cabs. All turned many heads.

Highlight for me personally: JD Simo. You all need to hear this guy play. He uses a '62 ES-335 into vintage Marshalls and just kills it. Check out youtube. I'll have video from the show up as soon as I can edit and upload.

Brad Whitford dropped in on Sunday and digs the cabs. His Son was there too and can really play. Apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Mac Daddy may have pics up from the show on TGP, he was there all weekend.

Nice. Beano and Cream-era Clap'tone all over the place. I loved the short bits of harmonic feedback at 8:43 and 10:38. That's music to my ears... :listen:

Yeah, Whitford's son Grahm is in that band with Tyler Bryant, the kid I saw opening for Jeff Beck a couple years back. Bryant also plays his as* off in the older classic genre of blues-based rock. Sounds like the possibility for one hell of a band... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVXnmr3R3Nc

Wow...that JD cat really has the feel of all those classic licks that he rolled out. Very nice playing and obviously great gear.

Great clips George. Just recently I was able to realize a long held dream of mine...to buy an actual Metro product!!
No not an amp sadly, but something that warmed the heart and massaged the ears of an old school Marshall addict!
Those who know me know my backstory with the Marshall Handwired saga, which resulted in me sending back the original head and receiving another from Marshall. I also bought the whole stack with the A & B cabinets.
I was massively disappointed with the cabs, including the construction, hardware and finishing.
Plus they looked good standing there but playing them was the purpose of the exercise.
I have had two '67's, the Marshall Vintage cabs when they first came out (with the V30s) and last a '69 full Pulsonic coned basket weave stack. These are all gone as are my two 1960A and B Handwired cabs, money went to fund a priceless (to me) guitar.
I have been without any speakers for my 1959HW head for almost 4 years now.
When the Metropoulos True Replica cabinets were announced I was estatic. I had to wait until I got my disability back pay but shortly after receiving that I placed an order for a '68 TR angled cab or 1982A.
I had heard of the new Celestion Creambacks, the G12M-65 watters coming out prior to the G12H-75 which spec'd exactly where I wanted them. I have always preferred the heavier H magnet speakers.
Three weeks or so ago my cab arrived, the packaging was worthy of Fort Knox.
The quality of the hardware, casters, handles, grill cloth and internal construction blew me away in person.
To me this is a dream come true and for the price I have for intents and purposes the same Marshall cab I would have purchased back in 1968.
I cannot sing the praises of the Creamback H's enough. George very kindly burned them in for me and the tone is woody and the harmonics are outstanding alone. I cannot understate how magical these speakers are in George's cab.
George was so impressed with the speakers he ordered a set to load in another of his cabs for the Nashville show. That cab was underneath the red 10000 series SuperBass.
Again it was my extreme pleasure to deal with George and Metro, he is an outstanding professional in all aspects of this business.
Having a 300W handling capability cabinet is fairly new for me, I did have the black grill cloth Vintage cabs when they came out but they were 8 ohms and I had to run my vintage heads at 4 ohms which sucked so those cabs went.
With Marshall the majority of the time new doesn't necessarily equal top quality or deliver what is promised.
Proudly there are no Marshall parts on this True Replica cab and the 1959HW head I fell in love with after George did the parts upgrades for me.
I would just like to thank George again personally for such an excellent product and service, it was a pleasure to business with him and Metro.
Clips I hope soon but one can hear those from the Nashville show.

Pete Thorn or Tony Abreu?

Either way nice comparison, wonder what the two together sounded like?
