Great show (and LOUD! ) as usual. Great to hang with Brother George, as well. George and Dave had a cool concept amp on display (built in attenuator….
The “Tone Wizards” panel of Dave Freidman, George, Rheinhold Bogner, Jerry Dyer and a few others was worth the price of admission alone. Rheinhold is truly ummmm, “one of a kind”
GC Platinum Room rep Alan Clarke had SRV’s Hamiltone guitar (Cold Shot vid) his ’59 Bassman from the Family Style LP and other SRV gear on display. H even let me play the axe once again proving that it’s not the gear but the player as I didn’t sound anything like Stevie….
I’m sure George will post a report.
And no sign of the trekkies. I brought my Capt Kirk jersey for nothing!

I wonder if that 59 Bassman was used on The Telephone Song. I always thought it was his Dumble SSS. That clean percussive was really different from his other tones.

Well we know SRV was never happy with just one amp! The amp was actually signed off inside the cab "Vaughn Bros - Family Style sessions"

This has been long tone chase for me. Now I really want to get that 59 Bassman and put the PTP in there. I have some Van Zandt pickups too. Blues neck Rock Mid.. I've had them for 8 years. I should install them.

Tip of the Iceburg my friend.
I have like 6 builds in the works, but live on the road for months at a time in an 18 wheeler.
I have a JTM 45/100 riding with me on the top bunk, and I sleep with my strat.
EP3 is in the closet with my Thoback pedal.
I might have to call Betty Ford for my GAS. I have about a months worth of work, with more parts on the way.

OK, how about this? ever see something and say "Gotta have that!" Order it, get it and go to put it away only to find you already have it?

Be it a book, pedal,accessory...

I'll be flaunting it when I get it finished. Might have to steal time for it over Thanksgiving or X-mas if I have a neck by then. That Ellsworth neck Garbeaj has looked really nice. The Reranch butterscotch blonde and FR brass block arrived but I probably will need to do the grain filling like you said (didn't men to divert the post away from LA Amp show- sorry guys

)...

It only counts if you re-order it twice, and have three in stock, that you still haven't installed. Ask me now I know this...

But when dwarves, dragons or pharoahs do it, it's viewed as a positive...

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I can name a dozen off the top of my head but I'm more afraid to find stuff I forgot about !!!
