50 volts,huh? Yeah, right. This guy is just plain lying to try and get an extra $20 out of a variac he picked up at a rummage sale.

I'm tempted to send him an email. But I have to remain a distiguished professional.

How about 40volts in is toilet while having a bump.

It's almost a crime, I use one on my JCM900sl-x (peace of shit BTW) and it sounded less like a peace of shit but at 90-100volts or more........................bla bla bla

It does warm up and smooth up the sound though...(90-100V even at 105-110volts will make your amp bread easier....)

Tampering excessively with that voltage will potentially wreak havoc with how the tubes, transformers and components all work together and respond together. The keyword I used was “excessively”. So you've been warned.
