for sure - im assuming its an ebay ad and hes paying with cashiers check -
1. wait till you get the check
2. cash it
3. send out the amp
4. communicate this to the purchaser
done
i have done this a few times with an ebay purchaser

OK. Is there any waiting for the check to clear? I know theres no account transfer but people still do say that on auctions about CCs Ive noticed

if i remember correctly yeah as far as you getting the check and taking it to your bank - its cashers check it is cash. but again you just communicate ' after i recieve the check and it clears/i cash it the amp will be shipped' blah blah

Rockstah is right on the money. Just because it's a CC doesn't mean it's legit.There have been fake CC scams, so just treat it like a check;
in that you'll have to have cash in hand, or cleared in your bank account, before you send it anywhere.
CYA
return receipt too
Should clear immediately if it legit.

Yup - personally I'd wait 7 days for it to go through. Once I received a cheque for an auction that bounced after 8 days. Fortunately, the guy wasn't trying to con me and sent another valid cheque.

I called the bank and they said Cashiers Checks clear in 2 or 3 days. I guess that would be the prudent thing to do.

the point is wait till the cash is in hand - and let the buyer know this

Did you unload it for a decent price? Are you giggling to the bank with the check when it arrives?

very interesting...
are they on your Amp Layout page?
Thanks for the reply. As for my 2 yen on the Cashier's Check... it is much more secure than a personnel check...
