A blind rabbit meets a blind snake. Niether one knows what they are so the snake says, "Why don't we feel each other up, then we'll know what we are?" The rabbit agrees so tells the snake to go ahead.

The snake slithers over him and says, "Well, your soft and fuzzy, you've got a fluffy tail and long ears. You must be a rabbit.

Overjoyed the rabbit agreed to do the same.

So he pats the snake down and says, "Well, your scaly, your cold and you have no ears."

"You must be a club owner!"

Corona High class of 84 here.
I used to play at the Black Stallion on 6th street, and the Live Oak Inn
over on Temescal CYN RD in the late 80's early 90's.

I miss Miguels Jr.

Never heard of the Black Stallion. I've lived and played here since 96. I have played the Live Oak Inn though. That was years ago. I don't even know if they're still open. The place was pretty much in its death throughs when we were there. There's a beer and wine place right across the street called the Sportsman. We played there a few times. As I remember it was tweaker heaven. Real dirty. I don't mind playing dives, but I can't stand playing in a toilet. Of course what better place to get that "brown" sound!

That whole area is starting to get built up now.

They had already changed the name from the Black Stallion by the time I was playing there iaround 89-90. I keep forgeting the name, so I usually just
say the place formerly known as the Black Stallion. That place has changed ownership so many times. It was right on 6th street in between the AW and Home gardens. On that side of the street. I think it's just a restaurant now.

Damn you played at the sportsman? My stepdad used to hide from my mom there. That place is a toilet, where did you find the room to play?
I didn't know people started playing there.

My parents live on Weirick Rd, up the hill from the 7 oaks general Store, on 5 acres on top of a hill with avocado trees, overlooking all the groves
and the city lights.

What do you mean by tweakers? They do have some characters in that neighboorhood. Some of guys from the 50's and 60's who used to race the first Harley dirt bikes live that area. Roger White from on any Sunday, his mechanic Terry, and some other early dirt bike pioneers, but I can't remember their names.

If I understand correctly that's currently Angels Sports Bar. With an attached nudie bar next door. Never seen an A&W though. We played there a few times too.

If theres a place around here with room for a small drumset we've played it. That's one of the reasons I'm looking to put a PSK in my 1959 RI is so I can use it more often. My band has a reputation for being one of the quietest bands around. I've gotten more gigs playing quiet in my 25+ years of playing then I ever have being loud.

Tweakers are meth-heads. REALLY scary people. My wife is in the band also and this tweaker chick walked up to us in the middle of a song I was singing and whispered in my ear, "The blonde chick sings, and nobody gets hurt." She sang the rest of the night.
