Freddie King

Post by dirtydeeds22 » Sat Sep 18, 2004 12:43 am

So tonight I'm watching a Freddie King DVD with my 3 year old Daughter, and out of the blue she blurts out "Freddie King freakin' rocks". I must be doing something right. That guy was awesome, I can only imagine what he would have sounded like with a Les Paul thru cranked plexi.

You must be doing something right if she said "freakin'" instead of "fuckin'". Sometimes the things that are slipping out of my mouth that my son will be repeating someday are frightening. In the car is the worst case, almost anything will come outta my mouth at the idiots out on the road.

Dude,
My wife and I both like to say the fuckin' word. Last summer on vacation my daughter is looking out the hotel window saying repeatedly "fuckin' tucks, fuckin' trucks, fuckin' trucks". Right there behavior modification came into play. Therefore "freakin".
Off to Denver this weekend. Might try to hit some Guitar stores.

Nope. Just didn't have anything to say for a while. Been busy with the band and booking but of course that didn't stop me from lurking here every other day.

Actually my three month old son enjoys shaking his arms and legs to a little "Hideaway" though. Funny how children have better taste than most of the record-buying public isn't it??

I spent the first 3 years playing the Stones, AC/DC, Freddie, Muddy, and all the greats that I like. She can recognize them by just hearing them. My 4 month old daughter is now getting indoctrinated into Classic rock and blues. Gotta start them young.

Woa there. That was rad! Isn't she like 16? Oh well, those boys her age can have fun with her because i'm finally going to be getting out of teenage-dom this November! After that, it's only one year till people are gonna be wanting me to get booze for them, and of course i'll be charging interest!
