from our front lawn on Oconto Ave in North Port, Florida. It's a Custom Painted Black Diamond Back with Barbwire Decals going front to back, along with another another decal: either skull or serpant on the seat post.
One of the tires is really worn, and they say "Diamond Back" on the Tires. I know this is a long shot, but if anyone sees it,please report it to the North Port Police 941-426-6111... or PM me.
There is a reward of $25 for any info leading to the return of this bike.
It has sentimental value. We painted and customized it with decals from the auto parts store together. The bike was so cool I can see why people would want to steal it. Pats self on back..
That's ok.. wait till they they see the next one.

Whoever stole it came right up on our front yard and grabed it. I told my son he better keep the bike in the fenced back yard or in the garage a few months earlier when we noticed someone had taken his bike off our front lawn, but ditched it next to the road a few houses down from our house. (I guess they must have gotten spooked on the first go around) He was good for a while , but then started leaving it in the front yard again, and sure enough it got stolen.. It's a sad lesson on street smarts for him, and this isn't a I told you so moment at all. Far from it. You should be able to leave your bike on your front yard and just enjoy being a kid, but that's not the way things are. As rotten a kid as I was, none ever stole my bike, and I lived in some bad areas.
Hey maybe it was because my bike sucked...

Withere way, all's well that ends well, and I have my eye on an even better bike ending tonight on ebay, and we'll sit down and put the barb wire, serpants, and skulls decalls and customize paint it just like the other one, if he wants. I'm actually look forward to it.

So we called the North Port Police dept and made a report. I guess there's been a bunch of bike stealing going on here lately. In this town you had virtually no crime 10 to 13 years ago, when we moved here. You could pump first at the pump, pay later. Hell the gas stations even took a check. The town was boring if anything. (Old people and their parents) Boring but safe. Now we're just like every other messed up town. If you do a search of this zipcode 34286, there's so many sex offenders , It will make your head spin. We even have a sick child murderer now with the murder of Coral Rose, My son was in a class with Coral Rose's older sister.

I moved to this area years ago to get away from this kind of shit!

I cant imagine living where I didnt have to assume anything left alone, even in your fenced in yard, might be there in the morning. I cant not lock my car doors. Habit taht will be with me forever. Not trying to to be a dick just a small US culture difference. It sucks that if you, through hard work, make anything unique and impressive you know your a target.

Ive had multiple things stolen at gigs from an amp, pedal, leather jacket, cell phone, etc.. Even my MASS! I doubt the person knew what it was! But I had already had bikes and other things stolen when I was younger so by now the immediate shock these days turns to, fuck, Ill kill that mother fucker, well what can I do now, oh well, I need a new one anyway. All in the space of 2 minutes these days.

:( Sorry to her that mightymike... I hope your son doesn't take it too bad. It's getting bad even here in Kansas. For 30+ years the front door to the house is always unlocked and the keys were always in the truck, (that way you never lost them or wore them out). But I learned the hardway, not long ago I dumped a bunch of money in an old truck ,468 bigblock, B&M turbo yada, yada. It ended up getting ripped from my driveway one night. The next morning I woke up and went out to get the sunday paper next to the truck and didnt even notice it gone till the cops called me. they found it 20 miles away 20' down in a ditch full of broken concrete for rip rap. The cops thought I crashed it and ran
The insurance man offered me $2,200 dollars for it (book on a 78 chevy pickup) even though I had $11k in receipts. Hell the motor was worked so hard it had 3 broken valve springs, dropped a valve and ate a piston.
The back tires looked as if they just came off of a sprint car in a heat race. they were that chewed up!

Oh well I bet they had fun on my dime  never caught em.

Moral is, even in the middle of kansas everything gets locked up anymore.

Yeah. Unbiased opportunism is actually becoming a virtue. I got picked for a jury a few years back and I was working 2 jobs and going to school and when I left I told the bailif 'damn this sucks' and he looked at me like 'why didnt you just say you cou....' then dawning comprehension overtook him. 'Oh yeah, well you were just being honest.' yeah. Who the hell knew that could happen in court?

The funny thing is that more of the petty crime in my area is commited by soft, want-for-nothing kids who pretend to be ghetto as a show of machismo and posturing. Id love to drop them off in some of the areas Ive had to go to buy weed when its dry. Or just plain make them ride the subway or the el at night by themselves liek Ive had to do because I had to work to afford to party.

Okay calm down. I dont need another theif whose name ryhms with Hoss getting the balls to come on here threatening me legaly for internet terrorism even as he's stealing a members money.

All it takes is getting ripped off once to give you a sour outlook on humanity.
Right after I graduated high school in Egypt I was living with my parents in Saudi Arabia. I was going on vacation to Thialand for two months so I took my new Mercedes to the airport. I wasn't sure where to park it so I left the keys in the ignition in case it was in someones way. My wallet was full of Saudi riyals, probably the equivalent of $500, and I didn't want to take it with my so I just threw it up on the dash.
I came back after three months (Thialand was REALLY fun) and my car and wallet were right where I left them. There was a bunch of dust on it and I could tell nobody even touched it.
Of course the penelty for theft is your right hand, and Saudia's are constantly shaking hands so if someone doesn't have a right hand everyone knows what they did  .

You know, I don't think the threat of loosing a right hand here in the states would deter that many. :? Not to mention all the Lawyers here
climbing all over that. I could see the commercial now, " Have You Recentlly Lost Your Right Hand in a Crime? Call 1=800......)

Some of the lowest crime areas in the world used to be in places like Sweeden and Norway where no hand cutting is going on yet, but give them 50 years..... At current immigration and immigrant birth rates, they'll be cutting off plenty off hands and heads in their future.

What happens on a 3rd offense for stealing?

What would they do, if they caught a gay one handed man playing Christian music through a stolen Marshall in Saudi Arabia?

Florida has gotten to be pretty bad over the years. I had a bike stolen there as a kid. I grew up in N. Lauderdale (Broward County) and my house got broken into when I was in High School. Imagine that sinking feeling....you get home from work and your parents tell you to check your room because the house got robbed. In a state of disbelief, you walk in and see your dresser drawers all over the place, contents dumped on the floor. You look around and see, along with your phone, class ring, and concert tickets, on of your guitars is missing

I better never meet the guy who skipped with my '89 Softail Custom in Huntington Beach....When I asked the cops what were the chances of getting it back. He laughed and said the thing was parted out before it made the end of the block. Got screwed on the insurance, too. Got 10K for it even with recipts showing 18-20K.

Sorry to hear, mike. If nothing else it's a tough lesson.

Yikes! All around. One thing I can't stand is a thief.

And having something you love stolen is just the worst.
