Got my ticket, should be fun! I hope to meet him if I can. Last time, Satriani came I got to meet him and chat, very cool.
One thing that I have been constantly noticing that the new young generation of todays young shredder-wannabes are playing neoclassical stuff on youtube etc... Malmsteen is making a come bach in a big way....Why do Americans hate him with a passion? He sure sure a solid worldwide fanbase. Yeah, he is over weight like most North Americans, maybe he should stayed in Sweden, he would be thinner! hehe Anyway, he has a hot wife and audiences always freak when he plays... I wish! Anyway, I can't wait to check out the most tireless, arguably the smoothness alternate picker out there! Malmsteen definitely raised the bar for SHREDDERS everywhere. you will, but check out these links. One thing is for sure, he is musical when he plays. Say what When you hear Malmsteen there is no mistake whether you like his music or the classical sounds, he does it like no other. At G3 Vai didn't even try do any classical stuff-like cross roads.
