For all the "grunge" era music fans, go check out Alice in Chains on tour.

It's been awhile since I listened to their material on a regular basis but I've always been a fan. I sorta lost interest for a bit when Layne Staley OD'd 5 years ago or so. I went to see them a bit skeptical with a new singer and all. Was I pleasantly surprised! The show was sold out. This band sounded almost exactly as they did back in the '90s, and Jerry Cantrell played and sounded incredible. I really had no idea he did so much of the vocals but the new guy almost sounded exact, the whole show was really done well.

I heard  I just missed the show... had to work.
Friends gave it 2 thumbs up. Said singer was awesome.
... Next Time I guess.
At least I got to see Black Label last night. Zakk & the Doom Crew did some Damage alright. SDMF

I wanted to see them when they came through, but the venue wanted $100 for seats where you could see the stage. I refuse to pay >$10 for a concert that I have to watch via jumbotron, and that is steep. Verizon Wireless ampitheater sucks ass, when a show is announced and they start selling tickets, almost every decent seat is sold before the tickets go on sale, only within the last week or so of the gig are they availible at a greatly increased price. Right now assigned seats for Aerosmith and Motley Crue in bad areas are over $300.

That sucks. AIC was general admission so I was about 25' away, although elbow to elbow with the crowd. What a great show though.

I saw the Crue and Aerosmith when they came through this summer. Crue rocked, Aerosmith was horrible. Man they have really gone to hell.
