Need listening advice on Gary Moore

I just listened to his Victims of the Future album, all I can say is wow. Never knew he did hard rock, but I'm really impressed, both in his playing and tone. Anyone have suggestions on further listening from GM?

Gary Moore is one of my favorite players of all time.I would recommend
Wild Frontier,After the War,Black Rose w/Thin Lizzy,Blues for Greeny,also the Tribute to Phil Lynott,One Night in Dublin is now out on DVD.
We Want Moore is a great live rock album.Gary was rock for a long,long,time.His Shapes of Things is admired by Jeff Beck!
Also Run for Cover,has some great tunes as well as the superb Military Man,with two of Gary's most brilliant solos ever.
Any Moore questions!Seriously anything you want to know about Gary,ask away.

Thanks for the responses, stoo and yngwie308.
Was listening to the radio this evening, the DJ came on saying "That was Shapes of things by Gary Moore, Ted Nugent has said that it has the best guitar solo ever recorded" I had to run out and listen to it.
I'm curious about his setup, I've seen pics with his famous Peter Green Les Paul, but I've also seen him with Strats. What type of amps/fx is he using? After hearing just a Victims of the Future, he seems very underrated IMO.

As an addendum, I also believe his favorite head was an old Super Bass, can't remember what year, late 60's I think. He has recorded a lot of stuff with that one.
For newer Gary Music, Scars is pretty cool, as is the MOR DVD from '03.

Wow much love for Gary,very cool.Gary's Super Bass is a 1972.
I like Victims,We Want Moore tone,also the Emerald Isles video is a must.
Gary's salmon pink strat has such a thick,incredible tone,and Gary's earlier technical setups were so killer.My absolute favorite tone is the Wild Frontier 1987 setup with the aforementioned Super Bass,and the Roland/Boss gear.The Charvel/EMG81/OFR guitars were superb and Gary's two '59 Les Pauls,the famous Greeny,now sold and that superb Les Paul #9-2227,which nobody on my GM forum knows what happened to.
I started listening to Yngwie,a lot,cause Gary's last few albums were lackluster for me.
Also George and myself tried to get Gary to be using Metro amps,but so far Graham Lilley and
Gary gave us no response.
Gary is one of the absolute top ten guitarists of all time for me,and I can't say enough about how great he is!

I personally liked Gary's solo on "Still In Love With You" off of Thin Lizzy's 1974 major label debut "Night Life". That is the only track that he is on but it is just killer . I love the outro where he sorta brings in a major 7 type tonality. That solo plus his work on the "Black Rose" album (Sara is such a pure beautiful song) is my personall favorite. Check out colliseum as well with Don Airey, sorta fusion sondin.

I'm no Gary Moore expert, but one of my favorite performances is his rendition of Red House on the Strat Pack Live Concernt DVD, for the 50th anniversary of the Strat. Blistering blues! It's so aggressive that I felt like that guy from the old Maxell commercial:

No doubt that Gary is one of the best. I didnt care much for his singing or bands songs to much in the 80's though. Good chemistry with him and Lynott. Wish he would have conceded to the fact that he wasnt the best songwriter in the world(Moore that is) and had stayed with lynott in Thin Lizzy. As a soloist though, he was alway's top notch.

Didn't know I'd get this many responses, I've been checking out a lot of his work, excellent stuff. I appreciate the info on his gear too, I really like the tone he gets with his salmon pink Strat, his playing in the Strat House performance is great too!

I liked his Red House, nice tribute! I can't stand watching him though, I don't why, too impish or something. Great player though!
