I might be shipping one or both of these soon, and I'm curious about some of your packing techniques. What you use, where to get it, what to watch out for. I'm so worried about shipping damage to the 67 Super, that I'm tempted to get a flight case, just to ship it.

When shipping combos I've used heavy 2-ply boxes (like something a lawn mower would ship in). I use old collapsed boxes to wrap the amp, then put the wrapped amp inside the large lawnmower box with tightly packed foam peanuts around it and some thick foam blocks to keep in from shifting inside the box. Must have at least 3-4" foam on all sides. Mark it "HEAVY" and "FRAGILE" on all sides and insure the piss out of it. I often also mark the box "DO NOT DROP", "DO NOT ROLL", and "2-MAN LIFT". I've considered making a plywood crate around a 2x2 wood frame, but the cost is much higher and the damn thing gets so heavy shipping costs a fortune on top of the crate expense. No problems with the double-box method yet.
