It's funny how he calls the 400 B+ tap "400 mV". :P

To many amps

Post by Joeyfingers » Fri Aug 31, 2007 5:42 am

I also have the tendency to buy two of the same amps that I love the sound of ! I`ve done it in the past and I had to change my music room into a larger room in my house. Then I realized I may have a problem !But until you find that ultimate tone the search seems to never end! But I`m almost there , as soon as George is ready with my ultimate creation I know my tone will be complete and my search will have ended. All thanks to a brilliant man willing to share his gift! Thanks George!
I met George& Clark at the May 5th show. He fired up the 68 for me and thats all it took. It`s the best amp I`ve ever heard!! Joe A.

The 68 Plexi Replica

Post by Joeyfingers » Fri Aug 31, 2007 7:13 pm

Yes ,I am waiting for a 68 plexi from George. I Know he`s going to build me a custom made Monster of an amp ! I think I also figured out that I probably will still want more amplifier options but I have a room thats about 12x14 with 4 cabinets a 71 slp ,a 69 HW reissue, a Mojave Peacemaker,a Randall Lynch Box, a Marshall 50 watt power amp. Of course a Tascam 4-track but then a very nice salesman at Guitar Center talked me into buying the Boss BR1600 digital studio that I have no idea how to work and after you record your tracks with it you can burn them on a cd! Lets see what else can I fit in there besides my new amp hmmmm OH crap I almost forgot 10 axes hanging on the wall! It`s got to stop sometime or maybe it doesn`t !!! ha,ha,ha, I`ve gone mad !!! No wait I`m a musician this is how we`re supposed to act! Nevermind I`m ok! Take care... Joe

I'm waiting on a '68 as well JF.

I sent VG NOS mustards for the build, and I chose orange for the head box color (ala Cory's orange '68 12 Series).

You know about the PT backorder eh?

Lile Tom Petty sang, the waiting is the hardest part. I'd sooner have a kick in the nads than wait any longer.

Now, there were four 68's in progress as of August 6th...who owns the other two builds I wonder?

Congrats on the acquisition...hope we get 'em this week!!!
