Guitar body left in freezing cold
I got a fender body off of ebay, a new one with the poly finish. Unfortunatly the fedex guy delivered it to the house next door and it was sitting outside overnight in the cold. I just brought it in the house and am letting it warm up slowly, in the box. I was wondering if leaving it out in the freezing cold overnight will have any adverse effect on the body?
Thanks
Thanks

I thought that was part of the rel icing, lacquer checking, or poly checking in your case.
It's not the cold temperature itself per see that doed the damage, it's extreme quick changes in temperature, such as if you bring the guitar in the case from the clod into a warm room or vice versa.
It will be fine.

I know of a couple of guys that relic bodies in this exact way. Freeze 'em, and then put them next to a hot boiler. Works great, if thats what you want to do with them.yngwie308 wrote:I thought that was part of the rel icing, lacquer checking, or poly checking in your case.

Quiet, they may start charging by each piece!planetjimi wrote:You're right, FedEx is a little better.
Sometimes when I get a package delivered from either of them, I just get the feeling that they really don't care how many pieces it gets to me in.
