Yeah Carl he was/is, had mucho cool clips on my original thread in Of Topics but they are gone, but you know where to find them.
Saw Robin in London around Bridge Of Sighs time and up in the opera box seat was one Jeff Beck, now that was way cool...

I'll bet JB didn't walk out and encounter Townsend and Clapton on the way in when they asked "He' that bad you're leaving?" "No, he's that good!" That would have been one Mr. James Marshall Hendrix!yngwie308 wrote:Yeah Carl he was/is, had mucho cool clips on my original thread in Of Topics but they are gone, but you know where to find them.

The optimum line up with the late great James Dewar on bass/vocals, and Reg Isadore on drums, this is the album that broke it wide open for Rob:

James Dewar died in 2002 after being in a nursing home for many years after a devastating stroke.
Bill Lordan left Sly and the Family Stone to join Rob after Conrad Isadore left on drums.
One thing is constant is the unique skill and freshness Robin brings to his guitar playing...

You better see him now and while you can (when he's here.)
I talked to his road manager last year and he said that it will be difficult to tour the States after this year...
He actually wasn't coming this time 'cuz it's just getting too expensive...besides Robin being almost 63.
Although I shook his strong hand he was on the thin side...

Yea, Jack Bruce is the coolest member of Cream for my money, even if he always plays too loud.. .
Glenn Hughes may be the voice of rock, but Jack surely is the voice of the blues/rock era by far.

Cool excerpts from the DVD that came with the limited edition Robin Trower tribute Stratocaster, the one with the Deja Vibe, ect.
Love the big headstock vibe, bullet truss with 4 bolt, tip of the hat to old YJM there.. I remember a mint one of these on the Bay, but I couldn't afford it.
