Hi Yngwie308 l would pay 12,000 G's for that, i think its all hype! Its just a marketing thing to make money and publicity for Fender. You are better off find an original 70's Vintage white and get it scalloped.
I think with the huge demand Fender will release a customshop relic of this guitar in future.

Here is the latest Guitar World September 2008 with a piece about the Duck, they cleverly have obscured most of the rear mounted Ferrari sticker to avoid the copyright issues and no Donald Duck on the headstock, yet.

Geee Yngwie308 you must be Yngwies lost brother! You have everything on Malmsteen... A dedicated Fan, cant wait to get home to play the strat through the Ultra-Lead and annoy the Slovakian visitors.

You should always B sharp, never B flat, and just B natural.

Yes thanks Yngve, I have to try and keep my addictive tendencies at bay for the most part. I have just won an auction for a 2008 Malmsteen Strat neckplate and machine screws, so it is a start on my next guitar, which may be a black Jimi/meets Yngwie Stratocaster. I am intrigued by the brass insert/machine screw mounting for Strats and may combine this Yngwie technology with a '68,'69 type Strat!
Here are some Duck replicas by other people, believe it or not, I am actually becoming tired of looking at the Duck somewhat..
, beat up guitars just don't really float my boat, vintage patinas, laquer checking and oxidized hardware is one thing, but placing belt buckle rash and arm wear, isn't floating my boat. Worn feeling necks are a different thing, I like the feel of an unfinished maple neck, as on my Washburn SS80, which has the Bartletts Gel oil finish.

I think a guitar that has your character into it is far more worth than Fender Customshop doing it for you.
I get more of a frill when l play a neo-Classical piece that rocks my world for sure. Give me any guitar and it always will sound like me.

frenchie, never said they were twins or both YJM's, they are 360 degree opposite guitars, just together in a picture
.
Must have lost something in the translation my friend.
I think you interpreted my calling my 1983 Blackie as an artist signature model, well I ordered my Strat in Black as a 'replica' of Blackie, before there was a Blackie replica, I also blocked the trem back then as I was ahead of my time and artist sig models started a lot later than 1983.
Here is how I replied to a question of who was first in Strat sig models on the YJM forum:
I thought I had answered this one before Malmsteen historians
Quita a while ago.
The bible for Fender guitars The Fender Stratocaster by A.R.Duchossoir, it is widely recognized states:The concept behind the signature series was triggered by Eric Clapton shortly after CBS withdrew from Fender. During the Behind The Sun, tour, early in 1985, Eric realized that Blackie's neck was worn out. While in Dallas he met with Dan Smith, who brought him two hard tail Elite Stratocasters to try out (yech).Eric played them but explained that one day Guitar Center would need to make hundreds of thousands of dollars, no not really!! Lol.He said he like V necks and wanted more compression sound wise. Dan Smith then agreed to make a guitar which would match his requirements and replace Blackie. The idea for an E.C. model was born.
I am skipping ahead here, as I know you all are die-hard E.C. fans. Both guitars were presented to E.C. in Spring 1986, Eric still wanted more changes so The contract was signed on May 7,1987.
The new model was first shown as a prototype at NAMM in 1987. but actual production was delayed until Spring 1988.
The pre-series examples were shown at the January NAMM Winter 1988 (and in the 1988 catalogue).
THE YNGWIE MALMSTEEN MODEL
Swedish guitarist YNGWIE MALMSTEEN is one of the most promising virtuosos in modern rock guitar (how prophetic) and for years a regular Strat player. In early 1986, Dan Smith (him again) met with Yngwie and his manager to discuss the possibility of a Y.M. model. The contract was eventually signed on January 15, 1987 and the first prototypes were shown at the NAMM the same year, but actual production did not begin in Corona until Summer 1988.
And they weren
