WIERD blown tube!!!

Has anyone ever seen a power tube blow, but not take any components out with it? I mean, like it just completely stops working?

I just had that happen! LITERALLY!!! I mean, I noticed no blue glow in the tube, so I checked the bias on all of them, and all of them were drawing around 35mA...all that is except for the 1 that was blown! It was drawing absolutely nothing!!!

I've never seen this happen with power tubes. That is WAY wierd!!!

That is truly "weird". It has to happen sometime where it doesn't leave collateral damage.

Watch it when using a variac..........don't go to hight...........lol
