Scaled down Les Paul
As the title states, I built a small scale les paul for my daughters birthday. It's this weekend
and I just finished it up tonight.
I scaled it down to 84% and the neck is a 20.706" scale. I took 3/4" off of the length of the headstock
so it wasn't so overwhelming. I routed for p-90's and used exposed mini humbuckers (rio grande baby buckers)
to keep things proportionate. She will be 9 so I was concerned about weight so I chambered it.
It plays through my metro 45 and full stack sounding just like my full size 59 replica I built earlier.
I have a build thread going at MLP if anyones interested.

Thanks!
It's my 2nd scratch build guitar. It's fun but expensive.
She gets it Oct.17

Re: Scaled down Les Paul
Thanks guys! I had a blast doing it.
I am going to try and maybe get a video of the "unveiling" and post in my thread at MLP.
I also kept a build book with photo's from start to finish to be kept with the guitar. Kind of corny now, but when she's older
and I'm shitting my diapers in a retirement home somewhere it might be kinda cool.
Thanks for looking, I am pretty stoked about this!

Re: Scaled down Les Paul
Thanks again guys. I must admit though, It was a good excuse to
get to build another guitar
Does that mean I have to turn my father of the year award back in?
Ampboy:
That's funny you posted that particular clip of "unknown". That is the one that I stumbled
upon that spiked my interest in him. If anyone gets the chance to see him live, do so. Great show!
