@ CoffeeTones - Thanks. Yeah, I agree. I did have a 0.47u on there previously. A lower value should help keep the nice mids and provide more note separation and highs. In regards to the NFB, I used a pot to fine tune, but ended up close enough to 100k, so I just kept the standard value. The NFB is on the 4R tap. I'm already using a 1n/470k peaker. Cheers.
@herbvis - Thanks. I've been tweaking the reverb to try and smooth out some of the highs. That's also part of why I increased the snubbers on the 2nd and 3rd stages.

I've been around. Things have just been quiet, with no mysteries to solve. Still have not gotten my hands on that modded Marshall I spoke of a while back. The guy still has it though. I need to ask again. He let me look inside his Fargen modded 900 but it wasn't worth the trouble.

Just tried a 0.22 and a 0.1 on the 2nd stage cathode. There's a clear improvement in clarity, but I feel I need the in between value as 0.1 is a touch to bright and the 0.22 a touch too thick. Will have to order some 0.15's. I also tried a 1813 cap instead of the 368 that I had on that stage. I'm liking the 1813 more for that spot as it has a nice chime to it.

You can parallel a .047uF with a .1uF for testing or till you get a .15uF, It's not hard to get the original Sozo in .15uF, at least in the US. That value works well for the situation you have. 39k slope with the .22uF stage 2, cathode bypass may satisfy you as well.

I didn't think I possessed a 0.047u cap, but low and behold I found a 225p in my stash. So in it goes over the 0.1u 1813:

Sounds like AFD again. A little fizz. That may be the cap type, 22k PI tail or PPIMV turned down? Otherwise pretty balanced. Are those CL80 speakers?

Yeah, I find that foil caps in the cathode can be a little bit fizzy or too much treble. My PPIMV is turned down for the last few clips. My speakers are Scumback H75-PVC's.

Put all the snubbers back to previous spec to restore clarity for cleans. Added a 220p snubber to the 4th stage though.

Here's with 150n 1813's on both 2nd and 3rd stages, plus increased the 4th stage snubber to 330p.
