long time since I posted here.
Did this comparison for a swedish forum (and for myself of course) and thought it would be of interest to those lurking here as well.

Comparing old stock mullards ( 67 i63s) against new production tubes in v1. Golden lion kt66:s, tungsol ri in v3 and old stock mullard in v2 throughout. V1 is interchanged between each clip (serveral riffs). EQ and controls on guitar were the same.
1. Mullard ecc83 i63 fr 67
2. JJ ecc83 MG
3. JJ ecc803 S
4. Tungsol Ri (russian)
Did a previous clip comparing only an old mullard vs tung sol Ri in V1. The amp then had a new production tube in v2. I feel the differences were much more apparent in that situation - however the tungsol in v2 in that clip was slightly microphonic. Man, those tubes are kinda weak. Anyway - it is also in Soundcloud.
Nice to see the forum up and running again!

You had the reissue Tung-Sol in V2? Those things are nice outside of one spec they missed. They're not built to spec regarding the ability to handle a voltage difference between the heater and cathode. The CF position kills them.

Hence my remark of them being a wimpy tube - albeit quite good sounding
