UPS

Post by OnTheFritz » Tue Feb 13, 2007 8:40 pm

One more reason UPS sucks!! :x
I've used UPS to ship half a dozen amps over the past year or so.
Today I double box and really pack up a 2203 I just sold, lug the works in, only to have the box opened up, and told they will NOT ship any electronic's gear without the original Manufacturer's box.
He then points to the "rules" listed on the wall behind him.
One employee that's usually there knows I pack well and always ships my stuff, but this other guy was there today, and goes by the book, what a PITA.
Man I was pissed. So now I go back home, print up a label, and take it to the post office just as the weather's really getting nasty.
I'll never use UPS ever again for anything.
Anyway, rant over.

Sorry to hear it. FWIW FEDEX sucks just as bad. They absolutely ruined a 4-12 cab that was delivered today.

This thing is unrepairable.

Worst of all, it was sent to a 17 year old who saved up his cash for a year to get a cab to match the plexi kit his Dad built him for Christmas last year.

Clark and I seen pics of the damage today and both of our hearts just sank.

And this cab was packed to survive most anything. They had to work hard to ruin it.

There must be a better way..... maybe freight shipments????

When I bought my Marshall Hand Wired Cab it was shipped to me by a freight forwarding company. I think it was Central or something like that. Anyway they did a good job with no issues and the box was in "mint" condition when it arrived and the delivery guy actually called my house and made an appointment so he could deliver it when I was at home. Something to look into maybe........

BTW I have had better luck with USPS then Fed(Oh I dropped your fucking box) EX or UPSucks.

Wow, that's painful to hear. :( Poor kid.
I guess I should consider myself lucky for never having had anything trashed in shipping.
Today was just an inconvenience for me is all.
I feel kinda like a wimp for whining about it now!!

How are you shipping your cabs John?

Here are some morbid pics of the damage.

ouch

Heyboer sent me a couple of transformers via UPS. Their stuff is really well packed, but despite that, the PT arrived with a mildy dented bell housing. Strange, the outside of the package looked ok. Those men in brown must be playing H-O-R-S-E with the packages on their breaks.

Phil shipped me a new cover immediately. Great people at Heyboer. :)

Ouch, UPS did me the same way awhile back. My advice is buy insurance. I think they literally drop them off the back of the truck.

Ugh. Makes me extra nervous about the Metro I just bought.
Too bad, my regional tongue gave us away again.
