Isn't a bolt neck just as good as a set neck? I think so.

There's more to life than just amps?

Well, there goes common sense right out the window.

A bolted on body top? Now that would be one ugly guitar.

+1 LOL

In all honesty given the same woods, it's difficult to tell the difference between glued and bolted necks, at least it is on PRS guitars. I would argue it's mopre dependent on the precision and design of the joint fit vs. fastening method.

How about Yngwie, who in converting the lame three bolt Strats to 4 bolt monsters with the unique machine screw/brass insert fitted in the neck method.
Talk about tonal transfer, this is a cool way to go, plus a brass nut as well.

Typical Strat neck mounting surface, lacquer, labels, you name it blocking tone transfer

Actually these pictures are technically from MIJ YJM guitars, which have had this mounting method for a long time, they strive to be exactly like the guitars they are replicating

All of Yngwie's stage guitars have this mounting, i think Fender shoukd build more guitars with this mounting procedure :?: :?:
