Farlow?

She can play scales much faster than I can and makes cool squeaky noises. I still don't want to listen or look at her, even with the fiber optic wig.

Actually the videos with Beck are pretty cool.

Differnt strokes fer diff folks. I would step on a head cuttin' stage with anyone. I would rather listen to the likes of Landau or Fletcher thanks. Its not a contest pal. Tone, like looks, is a personal thing. YMMV.

Ahhh, its no big. Its just a difference of opinions. Thats the beauty of a forum. We get to discuss things, even when the opinions differ from our own. One way or the other, its all good. 8) 8) 8)

I would,,,wouldn't you?? I don't mind being taken to school, just as long as I learn something. Been a long time since I couldn't hold my own though.

Wow...so you wouldn't think twice about getting into a head cutting with a Beck, Vai, EVH, Jimi, Moore, Yngwie, etc?

Your name Kanye?

I meant Tal Wilkenfield not Tal Farlow  , If you watch one of the videos I posted, Jennifer explains how her look and character was 'chosen' for her.
To be frank she isn't my cup of tea really, but using the criteria of whether I would have sex with her or not, hadn't crossed my mind watching her play (just old  ).
Let's hear some clips Tonemaster, we are dying to hear your playing.

I have been playing for close to thirty years, so being embarrassed by playing with others doesn't bother me. I know when to hold back, and when to blow. I don't suck at all, so I wouldn't make a fool of myself, and I always learn something when playing with someone I have never played with before. I welcome playing with better players, as it makes ME a better player. Can YOU say the same thing there, big fella??
The sooner other players realize this stuff, the better off they will be, and the more they will learn, and improve.
Being confident should never be confused with cocky. Even Kanye will tell you that.

Sounds real good. Nice playing, TM.

Play with players better than you to learn? I agree 100% and would welcome that opportunity at any time (and have). Stating that you would openly challenge a Beck, Hendrix, Vai, etc to a head cutting session on stage is a very cocky statement not confidence.

"I would step on a head cuttin' stage with anyone."

That's a pretty cocky statement. Dontcha think? You'll never hear of one of the best ever saying that. (Hendrix, mister humble himself.)

And Kanye is beyond cocky 'cause he can't back it up.

I never said I would challenge anyone. I would respectlfully wait to be invited up onstage. To me, the term" headcuttin' session" is another term for open jam, with a bit of friendly trading of licks so to speak. All in the terminology I guess.
Thanks for the kind words.

I agree with Chief, Nice playin' Tonemaster ! BTW I would get up onstage with any of the greats Chief mentioned although I would completely stomped and my head thoroughly cut  Still wouldn't turn it down though. :D Chad

Matter of semantics, yes. "Head cuttin" to me always sounded like a guitar war. Like in the movie "Crossroads" where Raplh Macchio had to beat the devils's guitar player in a head cuttin contest to free Willy Brown's soul. And, I have always been rubbed the wrong way when a guy TELLS me how good he is. So I took it a different vein. "Jamming" with any of those guys would be an opportunity I would never turn down myself no matter how bad I got stomped! :D
