Holy Crap!!! How can you do that to us!!! You're just showing us that the crack on the other side of the street is pathetic compared to the stuff we're getting here. I can't believe that site EVEN exists..(to each his own, of course....)gutpile wrote:Gentlemen, its good to know we are not alone... I've wondered this too. It would be great having a 1000 amp models that sound better than the real thing, and it might happen some day. If it does, I will buy that amp modeler, but for the time being, I'll stick with tube amps, because all the digital stuff I've played sounds like a bag of cat in a woodchipper.Froumy wrote:Holy Crap!!! FWIW, I have read that those amp modeling guys(only the ones that actually have ears) think that they are about 10 years away from actually reproducing the tone that a tube possesses. If they actually do it?(doubt it) Cool. I'll buy one, but I'll still be sniffing solder on a REAL one......Those filaments sure are pretty....
Gutpile, you are a sick, perverted, funny bastard.LMAO!! But it still kinda hurt...

Just out of curiosity, has there ever been even 1 solid state amp that is known as a "classic"? I don't know of any.
