Is that an output tranny or a field coil?
The OT is located on the bottom of the right 6x9 speaker. This amp does not have a field coil in it.
I've got one of these amps. I just did some testing and the OT is bad. Can you recommend a replacement? Thanks!

I still have one of their late 60's “Taurus” bass amps that I've owned since the early 70's. Being the bass version, it's nothing fancy, just volume, tone and a three position “tone range selector”, with no reverb or tremolo like their lead versions had.

It's advertised as 70 watts, but 2X35 watts would be more correct as the amp had a single preamp running two dual 6L6 power amps. They used a stereo output jack and wired one 12” Jensen speaker to each output stage.

Electronically, it doesn't make much sense to me to do it that way, but I think they were designed by an accountant rather than an engineer. They made both 35 and 70 watt, single and dual channel amps at the time, and by doing the 70's this way, all the parts with the exception of the chassis, case, output jack, and possibly the PT were interchangeable making for fewer parts to inventory, and probably better quantity price breaks.
