Two years ago, tens of thousands of computers were made with counterfeit electrolytics. Worldwide scandal, stolen forumula improperly made -- industrial espionage stuff. They have all been dying, and many consumers are unaware. In my company we've replaced hundreds of motherboards. Many vendors were affected, including the biggies like Dell, Gateway, etc.

So everybody became shitty suppliers of PC's. Except for Apple, of course.

Crap, that was a good line too... It turns out the first run of iMac G5's were hit by this syndrome!!! Equal opportunity destroyer, I guess.

Just reading through NewEggs reviews you can see that even the most highly rated MoBos, GPUs, and other devices all have quite a few DOAs or short lived. Sad.

:D hehe

in other words the motherboard was faulty.

To sum up... the computer was left on in a thunder storm.
Without a doubt it took a lightning rod in the ass. so I started the process of elimination which I found
to be the processor & mb which was the full extent of damage.(I exhausted most all posibilities before doing this.)

It's running like a champ now and have my sanity back.

Thanks everyone for their input and helping me. :D
