Flames, My three year old wants your car

Flames,
Mazie, my three year old daughter saw your hotrod on the bottom of your post and now wants it. "Daddy can we get a car like that". Sure beats wanting a barbie mobile.

My dad and I painted a reproduction antique pedal car in flames like that for my niece.

Is your 1950 a Garage baby, or does she see the road?

Seriously, what is the point of a Garage Baby? You gotta hit the road baby!

It doesn't see much winter driving anymore. It was my daily driver for four or five years ('86 to about the end of '90.) I did have to have it out for a week the last time it snowed really good here, since the alternator croaked in my winter beater.
My '53 Chev pickup was going to be my daily driver for a few years, but about the time my Dad and I were putting the freshly finished oak in the bed I just couldn't drive it another winter. Too much work to destroy by choice.

Apparently my niece doesn't have the pedal car anymore; her brother has come along and claimed it. He was playing in the '50 two door tonight before my brother's family heads back to Texas; he had a great time pretending to drive it.
