Never paid Dean any mind, till I got these two beauties. The TONE and playability are off the charts!

I had Ebay'd a TON of pedals in Aug. Around 3K worth believe it or not
I put a deposit down on the Dean Tommy Bolin Tribute guitar......and the dealer told me he had a Leslie West (#5 of 100). after a few days of thinking about it, I bought it! A great great guitar, in fact, Joe Satriani bought/has a Leslie West as well, and you can see him using it on the encore of the current Satriani/Mountain tour. I saw a few YouTube vids of it.

.....then I started thinking to get a 2 PU USA Solero, so I found a dealer that had one and did a treade deal with my Baker B3XS

The Solero is #31 of 100. Both got Ebony fingerboards, great playing necks, and TONE.

Do you have any idea what they're using for pickups? Knowing ol' Leslie, Im sure they read about 102k on a DVM!!!

Im heading down to 48th St. tomorrow. Im gonna check out that LW model for sure... though after my last few purchases, buying ANOTHER guitar is gonna put me in divorce court with "She That Gives Me THAT Look Again" for sure!!
  / :? :? / :x :x /

That darkbusrt on yours is REALLY nice. They did a great job on that one!!

My younger sister is a haircutter in an upscale salon in Port Washington. I dont know if she still does, but she HAS cut Leslie Wests hair. She got me a signed, pre-release copy of that CD he put out a few years ago, "As Phat As It Gets". I appreciated the sentiment, but the CD kinda blew. Ol' Les just CANT get rid of that friggin' cowbell he started using as far back as "Mississippi Queen". Every 2 seconds... clonk... clonk... clonk. Man, that shit is DATED, bro.

Dean winds their own pu's.
In the West is their "Mountain Of Tone" pu-

Dean Leslie West Mountain Of Tone Humbucker Pickup

Both guitars are ROCK machines. Ebony fingerboards, fast playing and the PU's, IMO are great.

Looking foward to the Tommy Bolin Strat and recording with these guys.
