I need to find this template but can only find the smaller headstock.
There is a bigger headstock correct?

Yes from 1966 and up through the seventies, the larger headstock, which began in the 'CBS' era, has been touted as having more sustain and maybe other urban legends.
I know I didn't like them at first, but they grew on me with old age..lol!! There are differences from the 1966 shape slightly to the 1969-70 profile I believe, this is a WOT question really!

It's just surprising that I found the smaller headstock template in seconds and not one of the larger headstock.

The traditional or 'vintage' headstock shape is more prevelant.
