I have just scored a 1960B cab with G1265's.
Date codes on the speakers are 1979 and T3120 15 ohm with the Marshall stickers.
1777 cones.
Its a 260 watt cab butt the round label/tag by the speaker jack say's its a 100watt cab.
Was this normal?

Yep. You'll find a lot of early G12M-65W cabs marked up as such. You'll also find quite a few early G12M-70 cabs marked up as 260W

Pity the sucker that buys those, though.

I've had a few late 70's cabs. The 100w silver label on the back panel was common with G12-65 and G12-80 loaded cabs.

Thanks fella's for your answers, and to Jim was there any difference between the
Marshall stickered G1265's and the Celestion Labeled one's?
I noticed that the T# is different.

No telling. They changed the recipe on the G12-65 over 40 times in 4 years. If the Txxxx # is different, then I'd say for sure they're not exactly the same.

Would you mind posting more pictures of the cab? Curious also if the Caster Cups and Handles have the cursive Marshall on them and if the corner protectors have the Marshall name in straight letters embedded in them?

1979 was the last year for the original G12M-25 and the first for the G12-65, so perhaps not surprising if cab labels at that time didn't sync up. G12M-65 was evolution of the model with fiberglass VC bobbin.
Never knew for certain if T3054 and T3120 are identical except for Marshall cosmetics, but they seem to be as far as the eye can see.

Kind of doubt that those are the original speakers for that cab though. As someone already mentioned, the wiring is a give away. Either way, I have no doubt that cab sounds awesome.

Yea who knows where that things been or had done to it.
It does sound quite good though, fairly simmilar to my Weber 1225 greenback clones but slightly
brighter and less smooth but in a real good way. Classic Marshall tone.
I traded a 1960a w g12t75's and an epiphone les paul for it.
