ClinchFX TxFuzz

Post by clinchfx » Sun Mar 18, 2012 10:03 pm

We quietly introduced the TxFuzz in 2011. We are now ready to go into full production.

The TxFuzz came about because I didn't really like the sound of a basic Fuzz Face circuit. I took the basic principle of the circuit (known as Voltage Feedback Biasing) and re-designed it to use an output transformer.

The result is more than just another Fuzz Face with a couple of mods. This is a much smoother sounding fuzz that is very responsive to guitar volume and playing dynamics.

Here is a demo by a young guitarist from Perth, Western Australia.

We would appreciate comments.

That sounds really great Peter!

I've had a couple of Colorsound Overdriver clones in the past and felt they were a bit garbled and choked sounding. Yours seems to have a nice clarity to the tone yet still has that classic Hendrix Fuzz tone to it.

I might say the sustain is ridiculously good, WOW! VERY NICE! :champ:

Thanks Mark, we are very happy with the TxFuzz.

Burgs has now done a clip.

It demonstrates the more brutal end of TxFuzz tone.

Pedal sounds amazing in that first clip. Very nice rich complexity compared to most other fuzz. Can't say I'm a fan of clip 2 though...those tones were too abrasive for my ears. Stick to clip 1 for marketing IMO =)

Beautiful work though, Peter. Think you've hit a home run with this pedal!
