And who made them ?
I had a thread on this: http://www.metroamp.com/forum/viewtopic ... highlight=

I think the second ones might be JJ, but the others ?

I found these in another store. There they are labeled as Svetlana.

Looks just like Harma´s EL34 Retro.

But if you go to: http://www.svetlana-tubes.com, Svetlana´s tubes are "Winged C"...

The tube on the pic is made in the Reflector factory in Saratov/Russia and is definately a SOVTEK.

A while ago, as Svetlana in St. Peterburg had serious financial problems, they've sold her good name to Sovtek's Mike Matthews, so from this time on he couldt stamp tubes as Svetlanas - also known as the SED's (Svetlana Electronic Devices).

But as always, the REAL Svetlana's are the winged =C= stamped tubes, made in St. Peterburg/Russia.

The SED factory didn't sell the name and New Sensor can only use the name in North America. This is because the North American distributor had the rights to the name, and when New Sensor bought them out, they aquired the liscensing agreement. This allows them to label tubes made in the Reflektor factory as Svetlana, while the Svetlana Electronic Devices factories tubes have to go by the SED and Winged-C designations.

I personally think this is a questionable busines practice since it misleads the public as to the true origins of the product New Sensor is selling.
