Late 68 Early 69 Superlead.
So here we go getting started with my late 68 early 69 theamed Superlead.
Making my own turret board I got some 3mm paxolin and cut it out to size.
I got the drill press cheap on the bay, it's good for drilling the holes nice and square but not man enough for staking the turrets so I did that by hand.
You can see the template I used for drilling out the perf board, got that from watts tube audio. It's spaced in metric so slightly wrong but it still looks OK and produces a better cleaner job than I could have otherwise.
The template is however a little short for a full board with snubbers so carefully care had to be taken to align the holes when I moved along and 're taped the template in place.
Also had to be really carefully about scratching the paxolin, it's not so robust.
Great care had to be taken to avoid blowouts when drilling it. My technique was carbide tip drill bit on high speed and go gently with it to avoid the blowouts.

All perfed up and ready to stake out.
I'll be honest it took a few attempts to get a good one with no blowouts.
Time and patience, all part of the fun.
Not in the same league as some of the pro's around here but for my efforts I'm really happy with it.

So here's the chassis shaping up. I had the face plates logoe'd up
Also had to cut out the hole for the lay down PT.
I treated the cut edges with gold hammerite to protect it from rusting.
ARS filter cans. 32uf/32uf pre, 32uf/16uf for 48uf P.I,
2x 50uf/50uf mains and 2x 16uf/16uf screens.

My favourite part populating the board.
Pretty much stock for a 69 apart from the fast recovery bridge rectifier diodes.
220uf/820k and 47k NFB.

Looking good so far. No 0.68uF bypass cap for V2a?

Thanks Tazin.
No, no .68uf bypass on V2a.
I have got one but it has a few little hair line cracks probably nothing to worry about.
I may try it again but the first time around I really did prefer it without.
The sound is more open and it takes fuzz and boost pedals for leads better. I think it just sound more natural IMHO.
