Dual Bias Schematics? - 2204 - JCM800
Anyone have schematics showing the circuit for a dual bias setup in a 2204 circuit? I've seen the layouts, but feel more comfortable working from the schematic. How many of you use dual bias circuits in your builds?
Thanks,
Rex

Yes either as you see it there (so you would ideally need two 'pairs' of output tubes instead of a matched quad).ficommm wrote:Hello, can this be used on four EL34s, 100w amp?

What is the purpose of this? does it affect tone?

Only in so much as you can buy pairs of NOS, or good used, output tubes more easily than you can buy matched quads and run them correctly biased in your 100watter. If you are buying new matched quads or have a big box of mullard EL34s to mix and match a set you need not bother

Hi, I know this is an old thread and not very active recently but I've been trying to use this biasing without much luck. I haven't been able to get any results so far. If anyone has used it in any 50W equipment, can you please tell me what your potentiometer setting was? I'd be extremely grateful for any help.

Hi, I havent used a dual bias set up but know others do successfully. If u could be a little more descriptive about not getting results, eg are u not getting enough adjustment range or wotever, uno, & maybe a pic if possible, may make it easier for someone to help. Cheers
