Thats a pictrue of the inside the amp line out right?
The line out box has a 47k resistor and a 5k pot right?

Markstah,
please indulge us and let us know what wattage values you use on the resistors (and pot) just so I don't screw this up...

its all here.rockstah wrote:yes all the way to the left is load on the power brake.nhendrixsc wrote:Mark let me get this right. You used the Power Brake as the load pluged into one speaker out jacks and you pluged you line out box (47k resistor and 5k pot) into the other speaker out jack. Then out from the load box to the input of the second marshall. Is this right?
Also how do you set the Power Brake to load? (dial all the way to left?)
yes one speaker out is used for the load the other speaker out is used for the line out box. u have it correct about how i have it set up.
i have the line out pot at 4 or so in my setup.
i ended up just putting it in its own box rather than in the amp. ( i be adding it inside the amp permanently now.)

its all here.rockstah wrote:damn!... i just slaved a 68 spec amp build into the normal channel of my 78 that i rebuilt and is running a plexi spec and it sounds killer! instant headroom/hifi! ....instant dutch treat.
running a trex replica delay between the amps. again it sounds killer!
the big silver box is a line out box i built. it plugs into the first amps speaker out - works great!
i haven't even messed too much with the poweramp amp. i figure i will removed the bright cap on that amp and try the bright channel input.
so much more flexibility now on the tone as well via the second amps controls.
on first run i had it setup like this: ( no delay )
amp#1 everything dimed and into a power brake set to load
( the power brake sounded better as load than the big 300watt arcol resistor u see in the picture. )
from the line out box into the hi input of the normal channel.
amp#2 settings:
presence 6
bass 5
middle 5
treble 5
bright volume 0
normal volume 2
i would go as far as saying,..
after all ive done and been through,..
having had this setup in my hands,..
Edward did run this setup. ....you all NOW need TWO Marshall's.

i used a power brake as my load. i also have a arcol 300w 16 ohm resistor but the powerbrake seemed to sound better.ericopp wrote:Markstah,

Ok Thanks. I'm glad I ask you for the diagram, it is completely different from the old 47k resister and 5k pot diagram that we had in the past.
So let me get this right, the parts list is.
2.2k resister
470 ohm resister
100 ohm resister
5k pot
2 jacks
Am I right????
Can I get most of this at radio shack???
Also what wattage resistors should I use for a 2205 (100 watts ??).

yeah man. slightly different line out spec than the line out using the 47k.
mind you this is not load box. it is a line out box. all the resistors are 1 watt resistors. you could use half watt as well. - check radio shack.
